Short Biography

Yusuf Varlı graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University and London School of Economics with honor degree B.Sc. in Mathematics-Economics. He worked as Teaching Assistant in the Department of Economics at the University of Iowa and got M.A. Degree from the same department. After finishing his doctoral studies, he earned Ph.D. Degree in Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University. Also, he has been at Syracuse University as Visiting Research Scholar. In addition to his academic studies, Yusuf Varlı has worked in the positions of Researcher and Advisor to Chairman in Borsa İstanbul and has given lectures in various certificate programs organized for sector partners. Currently he has been working at Ibn Haldun University as Assistant Professor and has several academic publications in the areas of his research interests, which mainly are Real Estate Finance, Islamic Finance, Applied Econometrics and Behavioral Finance.
